US architects furious after professional body vows to work with Trump

AIA chief executive apologises for saying members were committed to working with president-elect

The head of the professional body for US architects has been forced to apologise after a pledge to work with Donald Trump created fury in the profession.

Following Trump's victory, Robert Ivy, chief executive of the American Institute of Architects, issued a conciliatory press release suggesting architects were willing to put the controversies of the election behind them.
